Lauren and Justin’s New Orleans Wedding at the Wax Museum

This was a great wedding for me to shoot on so many levels.  Lauren’s dad, Brian Eskine, is a guy I grew up with in White Castle, Louisiana, and he’s still the same fun, unpretentious guy I used to play Wiffle baseball with in the backyard next door almost fifty years ago.  Lauren inherited much of her vivacious Eskine personality from her dad and its paired with the warm and friendly smile she seems to always have on display like her mom, Monica.  Her husband, Justin, is one of the most relaxed and genuine grooms I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing.  This grand affair was assembled at the legendary New Orleans Wax Museum on Conti in the French Quarter, which is an awesome location for weddings,  and attended by many familiar faces from my old home town.  I love how Lauren wanted me to stretch out and apply any and all post-processing effects I deemed appropriate (I also deliver each image in its “straight” version, sans-effects, but still color corrected and processed, so you get the best of both worlds).  This was a no-holds-barred full on dance party once the ceremony concluded and I was really glad I hired Adrienne Battistella to be my second shooter.  There was even a pint-sized female rapper who blew everyone’s mind with her rapid fire delivery of a current dance hit!  The images turned out so memorable I immediately incorporated some into my home page slide show gallery.  Enjoy…
